Primary Dance Classes – Kindergarten to 2nd Grade

Our Primary program is designed for dancers ready to expand their skills and explore new styles! Each class is 30–45 minutes, once a week, with options to take multiple classes—perfect for building technique, coordination, confidence, and a love for dance. With small teacher-to-student ratios, every dancer receives guidance and support to grow at their own pace.

Primary Ballet (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

Step into the world of ballet with our 45-minute Primary Ballet class! Students build strength, posture, coordination, and ballet technique while exploring fundamental positions and steps such as pliés, tendus, retirés, and arabesques. Classes are playful, creative, and designed to boost confidence while laying the foundation for future dance success.

Primary Tap (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

Tap your way to rhythm and musicality! In this 30-minute class, dancers develop coordination, timing, and sound awareness through steps like shuffles, flaps, cramp rolls, and simple combinations. Primary Tap is energetic, fun, and encourages creativity while helping dancers grow their confidence and performance skills.

Primary Hip Hop (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

Get ready to groove! In our 45-minute Primary Hip Hop class, dancers explore street-style moves, footwork, freezes, and freestyle while learning to move with rhythm and energy. This class boosts confidence, teamwork, and musicality, all in a high-energy, fun environment that keeps dancers engaged and excited to learn.

Primary Tumble (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

Primary Tumble is a 45-minute class full of strength-building, balance, coordination, and skill development. Students refine rolls, bridges, splits, and advance to headstands, walkovers, and other tumbling techniques. With small teacher-to-student ratios, each dancer receives personalized guidance to build confidence, body awareness, and a strong foundation for future acrobatics.

“OMG!!! The recital was amazing. What a feeling of FUN, FUN, FUN!!! I’ve never been to a recital that I laughed, cried, danced and had a good time just sitting in my seat. I was telling my cousin that we felt like part of the group; I felt so relaxed watching. What a feeling. It was great!!! The family togetherness really does shine through.”
